2008 Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2008 Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about wine and you’ll be part of the behind-the-scenes team that organizes one of the world’s top wine events. The festival is a key fundraiser for the Playhouse Theatre Company, and that annual contribution wouldn’t be possible without the help of our volunteers.

The 2008 Festival will celebrate the 30 years of the festival with the theme - Cheers to Our Volunteers.

  • Wine tasting during assigned shifts is strictly prohibited.
  • Volunteers are selected solely at the discretion of the festival.

Jobs

Volunteer roles range from setting up to tearing down, from taking tickets to handing out wine glasses, from administrative support to the unglamorous, but essential, job of emptying spit buckets. (And please don’t follow Miles’s example in Sideways.) If you have special skills such as wine industry experience, wine knowledge (including sommelier skills), volunteer management or specific volunteer experience, please enter that information on the registration form.

I learn and taste so much at the Vancouver Playhouse International Wine Festival that I seldom miss it. It's one of the world's best festivals -- certainly Canada's.
